Kano state Correspondents Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has charged Abba Anwar who was reappointed Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
Solacebase recalled that Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje reappointed Abba Anwar as his Chief Press Secretary on Tuesday with effect from May 29th, 2019.
The body said the reappointment which was not a surprise lend credence to his ability in transmitting information and handling his duties professionally.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Chairman, Kano state Correspondents Chapel, Comrade Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu on Wednesday.
The statement said that Comrade Abba Anwar , during his first assignment demonstrated a huge sense of commitment to duty, driven by well-defined show of professionalism which is attestable to discernable minds.
According to the statement ,’’We celebrate Abba’s re-appointment with pride and honour because he made us proud and has continued to do so as a former member of the Correspondents Chapel who paid his dues as an investigative Reporter with The Guardian Newspapers with high integrity from where he was appointed as Governor Ganduje’s CPS during his first tenure.
The statement appreciated Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje over the confidence he has in the crop of professional that constitutes the Chapel to reappoint its member.
