Kano state governor Abdulahi Ganduje on Thursday issued a query to Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, over alleged financial misappropriation.
Solacebase last week reports that Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission recommended the suspension of the emir over alleged N3.4bn emirate council fund misappropriated.
The Commission said in its recommendation that the Emir and some of his aides needed to bde suspended so as not to interfere with investigation.
A source at the palace told Solacebase that the query from the office of the Secretary to the State Government requested the emir to explained within twenty-four hours the issues raised in the preliminary investigative report submitted by the state anti-graft agency.
When contacted , Chief of Staff to the Emir, Malam Munnir Sanusi promised to get back to our reporter as he was yet to confirm the letter.
