The African Action Congress ( AAC ) has suspended its presidential candidate in the 2019 general election, Omoyele Sowore as the national chairman of the party.
The party announced this decision on Monday in Abuja at the party’s NEC meeting.
It said Sowore was suspended for alleged anti-party activities, failure to convene NEC meeting and financial misappropriation.
It accuse the suspended Chairman of contravening the law also by seeking fund outside the country during the 2019 general elections
A new acting national chairman, Leonard Nzenwa, was subseuently sworn-in.
The committee also announced that the suspension of Sowore and other members of his executive is to last for six months except overturned by a National Convention of the party.
