Saudi Arabia Releases Another Nigerian Arrested For Alleged Drug Trafficking

Another Nigerian detained in Saudi  Arabia on alleged drug trafficking-related issue, Ibrahim Abubakar has regained his freedom days after Zainab Aliyu was similarly released.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Aide on New Media, Bashir Ahmed announced this on his Twitter account(@BashirAhmed) on Thursday, May 2 noting that Abubakar’s case was similar to that of Zainab Aliyu that was released on Tuesday.

According to the post,’’Saudi Authoritiesreleased Malam Ibrahim Abubakar to the Acting Consular Generalof Nigeria in Jedda, Garba Satomi Grema.He was arrested over alleged drug trafficking the same offence as Zainab Habib Aliyu, who was also released on Tuesday’’.

Solacebase recalled that the Permanent Secretary , Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mustapha Suleiman who announced the release of Zainab Aliyu , a student of Yusuf Maitama Sule University in Kano on Tuesday in Abuja at a news conference, said Abubakar would be released on Wednesday
