Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) on Saturday, had its maiden matriculation of 82 students admitted into 2018/2019 academic year.
Solacebase reports that the students were admitted into various bachelors’ degree programmes in the School of Arts Management & Social Sciences (SAMSS) as well as the School of Sciences & Information Technology (SSIT), based on the requirements of National Universities Commission (NUC).
While speaking during the 1st matriculation ceremony, held in Kano the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sudhakar Kota, urged the students to use the ample opportunity given to them to be tutored so as to contribute to development of humanity.
“The 2018/2019 academic year has set a good pace and academic standard for the Skyline University Nigeria which potentially have a profound impact in the lives of the students in their various future endeavors ”, Prof. Kota said.
Prof. Kota later enjoined the students to tap the enormous knowledge and skills embedded in the Skyline academic environments so as to justify the confidence reposed on them by their parents, as well as their guardians investing huge amount to ensure they are educated qualitatively
The Vice Chancellor enumerated that the university is fully braced up for more programs and various disciples such as legal studies, engineering and basic medical courses that are cravenly yearning in Nigeria and the world around”.
Prof. Sudhakar further reminded the students that the roads to academic success is riddled with hurdles , but reassured of the university’s overall efforts to ensure that the students will accomplished their dreams and achieve greatness in their academic pursuits.
While administering the matriculation oath, on the students, the Registrar, Mr Satya Vir Sighn, signal the conclusion of the registration tradition as official students of the institution.
Also speaking, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi 11 represented by Dan Maliki Kano, Ambassador Ahmad Umar, described Skyline as one of the 75 private universities in Nigeria with state-of-the-art equipment for conducive learning environment.
He urged parents to enroll their children in such a befitting university (Skyline University) as it had all it takes for impacting qualitative knowledge on them so as to become responsible citizens to be proud of by all and sundry.
