Abba Files Petition Challenging Ganduje’s Electoral Victory

The Kano state gubernatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf has filed  petition before tribunal challenging the victory of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in state governorship poll.

Speaking to Solacebase shortly after filing the petition counsel to Abba Kabir, Barrister Maliki kuliya Umar prayed the tribunal to upheld the governorship election conducted in the state on  March 9 and equally voide the governorship supplementary election conducted on 23  of March 2019.

He alleged that the supplementary election was characterized by irregularities, and electoral malpractices and that contravene Electoral Act.

Also Speaking the gubernatorial candidate of PDP Abba Kabir urged the tribunal to exercise justice and return him winner.

“The prayer we are asking is for the tribunal to determine the actual winner in the election that took place on March 9.

” To me as the PDP candidate the only election that took place was on March 9.”

He noted the issue of supplementary election as far as PDP is concerned was an illegality ‘which we reject and have nothing to do with that is the content of the petition.”
