The Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday said it would explore every avenue , including legal process to ventilate its grievances on the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the 2019 election.
The party refused to sign the result sheet after INEC declared the candidate of All Progressives Congress as winner of the election.
The declared that the irregularities in the election were abnormalities .
Reacting to the PDP, the chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu said that the difference in the valid votes and cancellation were insignificant to impact on the general outcome of the election.
He said all the observations raised by the PDP would be needed for the future, including the 2023 elections.
Addressing journalists after rejecting the declaration of Buhari at the collation centre, PDP’s agent, Osita Chidoka, said that the results that were announced do not represent the valid votes of Nigerians.
Solacebase reports that Muhammadu Buhari of the APC scored 15,191,847 , while Atiku Abubakar polled 11,262,978, a difference of 3,928,869.
