In a fresh effort to uplift the Kano State public service to next level of standard practice, preparation to construct PublicService Institute next year has reached an advanced stage.
Kano State Head of Civil Service, Alh Muhammad AuwalNa’iya made the disclosure shortly after appearing before the House committeeon Civil Service on Monday to defend the budget figures earmarked to hisministry.
Auwal Na’iya said that the institute is design mainly for training and re-training of government personnel slated to be in line with the best standard and equipping them with modern techniques of executing public service.
Alh. Na’iya also emphasized that the Institute will have a befitting ICT centre which will be named after Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
According to him an aggregate sum of 500 million Naira have been earmarked for the Construction of the Institute, whereby an estimate sum of 144 million Naira would be expended by the company for the construction of ICT centre and other facilities respectively.
