The corpse of late former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Salihu Ibrahim (RTD) will arrive Nigeria tomorrow ( Sunday).
A member of the family, Hajia Hadiza confirmed on Saturday that the corpse which will be led by some of his children and other close relations will be flown to Kaduna where he would be buried at Military cemetery.
According to the family source, the corpse will be received by top military officers, prominent politicians who will pay their last respect and his family members.
Late General Ibrahim died on Monday at a London hospital during a brief illness at the age of seventy-six.
The deceased who hailed from Kogi state was Nigeria’ s Chief of Army Staff between 1990 and 1993 during the regime of former General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd).
He joined the army in 1956 and trained in the Nigerian Army.
After retirement, Late General Ibrahim was appointed Pro-chancellor and Chairman of the University of Ilorin.
He is survived by wife, Hajia Amina, relatives, children, and grandchildren.
