The negotiation meeting between the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU on Monday ended in another deadlock.
Addressing Journalists on Monday after the meeting in Abuja, ASUU President Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi the negotiation is ongoing as there still some areas that needed to be sorted out and would continue at a later date.
Prof. Ogunyemi “All I can say for now is that negotiation continues and the meeting has been adjourned to a later date.”
ASUU had embarked on the nationwide strike three weeks ago over the poor funding of Nigerian universities and non-implementation of previous agreements by the government.
