The All Progressive Congress APC has apologized to a Kwara state Gubernatorial Aspirant , Mashood Mustapha over his wrongful disqualification during the just concluded party primaries.
The party said the wrongful disqualification arose as a result of disinformation from unauthorized announcement after the National Working Committee had cleared his participation in the primary election.
This was contained in a letter signed by the APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomole.
Solacebase recalled that Mashood Mustapha a strong contender for the party flag bearer was taken aback when he heard his disqualification on the radio on the morning of the election.
The action according to many of the APC members in Kwara state affected the chances of the former House of Representatives member from clinching the party ticket in the primary election.
The letter said although he was cleared by the National Working Committee appointed screening panel as a Governorship Aspirant to contest the Kwara Direct Primary election his disqualification was erroneously announced by unknown source when voting was under way.
APC said the incident which was embarrassing and the mischief directed at Mashood Mustapha a stalwart of the party was regretted.
The party then appealed to him not to waiver and contribute in his usual way positively to the party success in the 2019 general elections so as to achieve the dream of the party for a better Kwara and Nigeria at large.
