The Centre for Awareness on Justice and Accountability (CAJA )on Monday urged Kano state House of Assembly to sustain its transparency, neutrality and the courage in handling investigation of alleged $5m bribery allegation against the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The Civil Society Organisation while calling on the probe committee to ensure justice to all parties involved in the issue reiterate commitment to support the panel where possible to succeed in the historic assignment.
CAJA Executive Director, Comrade Kabiru Dakata in a statement issued on Monday said the CSO has being observing the Assembly investigative committee with keen interest with the aim of ensuring that none of the parties involve is not treated accordingly.
“CAJA held a town hall meeting on Sunday with stakeholders where the activities of the assembly investigative committee was examined since its formation. “
It said the CSO discovered that the committee is carrying all stakeholders along in the process of the investigation.
The CSO charged the committee to play all the four video clips allegedly showing governor Abdullahi Ganduje receiving bribe on the fixed date, tomorrow to representatives of the online publisher Jaafar Jaafar, Abdullahi Ganduje, independent experts from the Assembly and Civil Society Organizations.
It added that the credibility of the legislative arm of the government should not be compromise as generality of Nigerians and the world at large are very much interested in ensuring fairness and transparency.
