Members of the Economic Management Team led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are currently meeting with some state governors with a view to taking a position on the new national minimum wage.
Last Friday, Minister of Labour ,Dr Chris Ngige after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had told journalists that the meeting today will harmonize issues on the minimum wage and come out with a position
The meeting is holding inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The state governors attending the meeting are Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu; Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari; Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong and Osun State Governor, Rauf Aragbesola.
Others at the meeting from the side of the Federal Government are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udo Udoma , Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige and Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed .
The others are the Head of Service to the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita; Director-General, National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission, Chief Richard Egbule; and the Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris.
