The Nigerian Army says it knows those involved in the missing of General Idris Alkali whose car was recently found in Dura Du pond in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau state.
The GOC 3 Army Division in Rukuba Plateau State, Major-General Benson Akinroluyo stated this while receiving Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Anthony Ojokwu at the pond site .
Major-General Benson Akinroluyo said the army had the pictures of all the suspects, adding that investigation was still ongoing.
He appealed to the community residents not to entertain any fear or run away from their houses against any military onslaught.
The GOC sought the cooperation of the people with the military so that the body of General Alkali (if already killed) could be recovered and given a befitting burial.
Anthony Ojokwu emphasized the need for innocent residents not to suffer in the search for the General, calling for the actual culprits be brought to book.
