Former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, has emerge the presidential flag bearer of the People’s Party of Nigeria (PPN).
Major Hamza Al-Mustapha scored 3,564,262 votes to defeat Dr. Imuetinyan Igbinnosa, who had 2,183,856 votes and Chief Isiaka Olorunnimbe who got 1,400,755 votes
The Chairman, PPN Presidential Primary Elections Committee, Mr. Dare Adekolu, who is Ekiti State PPN Chairman, appealed to party members and other Nigerians to support and vote for the party’s standard bearer for the 2019 presidential election.
He said the collated election results from the 36 states and the FCT at the PPN Presidential Primaries 2018 National Convention which held in Ado Ekiti, declared Al-Mustapha as the party’s presidential candidate which was accepted by all.
“PPN has come to redeem Nigeria. PPN has come to save Nigeria from poverty, lack, unemployment and underdevelopment, hence the need for support”.
Al-Mustapha represented on the occasion by Zakaria Husseini in his acceptance remark, promised Nigerians transparent and viable leadership.
