A Media Personality and a state house of Assembly aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sanusi Ahmed Bature has emerged the Party flag bearer for Dawakin Tofa constituency in Kano.
This was confirmed in the results of the state primary election held on Thursday by the party and witnessed by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
The returning officer of the PDP at the election, Najib Abdulkadir Salati said 100 delegates were accredited out of which Sanusi Ahmed Bature scored 59 votes to emerged winner of the election .
He said Hamza Ibrahim secured 22 votes to come second , while Sadik Muktar had 9 votes and Sani Isa Romi scored 6 votes and 4 invalid votes were recorded.
In his acceptance speech, Sanusi Ahmed Bature appealed to the other aspirants to support his candidature so as to win the general elections come 2019.
Sanusi Ahmed Bature while speaking with Solacebase on Thursday denied existence of a faction in the party insisting that the Rabiu Suleiman Bitchi led Caretaker committee is the body recognized by the party national headquarters.
Although another faction of the party led by the embattled Chairman Masud El Jubril Doguwa had a parallel primary in the locality.
