Former Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has expressed readiness to support Senate President, Bukola Saraki bid to become president just the way his late father supported him during his failed presidential drive.
Babangida gave this assurance when Saraki paid him a visit in Minna on Sunday as part of his ongoing nationwide tour for the upcoming PDP Presidential Primary.
He promised to treat the Senate President who is seeking the ticket of PDP to contest the 2019 presidential election as his son considering his relationship with his father so as to achieve his ambition.
The former Military Head of State said Bukola’s father , Olusola Saraki supported him a lot on several occasion , hence it is a payback time for him to support the son
Babangida said. “It is my turn to do what your father did to me”,
“I remember when I was still in office, I spoke with your father, Oloye Saraki who mostly provide advise severally on how to move this country forward.
“Your visit today is historical, now it is your time and turn to come to me and I will do just that.”
“You mentioned three things that are very dear to us as military, and we fought to get them to preserve them.
“They are unity of the country, the security of lives and the economic development.
