A frontline Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential hopeful Dr. Datti Baba Ahmed has called on Nigerians to pray for peaceful co-existence and stability of the country.
In an Eid el Kabir message the PDP Presidential front runner enjoined Nigerians to live in peace and love one another.
“We must respect the tenets of Islam which call for peace and I hope that each one of us will try to maintain peace and be our brother’s keeper,” Dr. Datti Ahmed said.
He urged Muslims to use this period to re-dedicate themselves to the life of sacrifice as exemplified by the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his only son in obedience to God’s will.
He appealed to Nigerians not to be deterred with the present economic and security challenges hoping for a better tomorrow.
He used the occasion of the eid el Kabir to charge all eligible Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Card (PVC) for them to be able to perform their civic responsibility of voting for candidates of their choice that will deliver the dividend of democracy and make life better for the populace.
