President Muhammad Buhari on Monday arrived the Yakubu Gowon airport at Heipang, in Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State to commiserate with the people following the resurgence of killings that claimed over 86 lives.
Solacebase gathered that the President was received by the Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong, his deputy Prof. Sonnie Tyoden and security chiefs in the state.
The President is expected to have a close door briefing with government officials, security agents and other stakeholders on the crisis situation in the state and how to address it.
Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo had made an unannounced visit to the State on Monday for an on the spot assessment and had left after a briefing with the governor, security agencies and stakeholders Monday night.
