Three Kano state contingents to the ongoing APC Convention have died in a car accident in Zaria on their way to Abuja early on Saturday morning.
The Contingents, a Councilor representing Diso ward , in Gwale local government area of Kano state Abdulwahab Inuwa Diso with two other friends, Abdullahi Lawal Idris and Alhaji Abubakar set out early on Saturday to joined other APC members at the convention in Abuja.
An eyewitness Ibrahim Umar told Solacebase that the vehicle the deceased were travelling in had a tyre burst which led to the SUV somersaulting and later engulfed in fire.
The three were said to have burnt beyond recognition.
A younger brother of the deceased Councilor Bello Inuwa Diso told Solacebase they were informed by a good Samaritan that used the deceased phone to call the wife.
Bello Inuwa Diso noted that his brother just came back from Lesser Hajj six days ago
Solacebase gathered that funeral prayers were later conducted on the deceased at Kano Central Mosque led by the Chief Imam Prof. Sani Zaharadeen at 4.26PM on Saturday evening.
