Re: Police Alleged Shooting Of 4 Persons In Kano, ‘WE STAND BY OUR STORY’

Solacebase media , publisher of Solacebase online reported on 18th, June 2018 alleged shooting of 4 persons by policemen on guard duty at Ado Bayero Shopping Mall in Kano on Sunday 16th June 2018 during Eid el fitr celebration .

We wish to reaffirm and restate our stand on the story as we have evidence of the incident as one of the victims of the alleged shooting is presently recuperating at a hospital in Kano.

The incident occurred as we reported on Sunday 17th June in the evening and was reported by Solacebase on 18th  June that, while the policemen on guard duty were trying to control the crowd of people that wanted to gain entrance into the mall .

A policeman after threaten to shoot the people despite holding a horse whip being used on them allegedly shot 4 persons in the course of ensuring that they form a straight line or be on queue.

One of the victim of the shooting Yusuf Adamu who is recuperating at a hospital in the metropolis as he was rushed to emergency unit of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital but could not be admitted as the hospital was filled up.

According to Yusuf Adamu the bullet pierces through his thigh.

However the news release by the police spokesman of Kano command Magaji Musa Majia on Tuesday denied the story, noting that the report was not balanced.

Meanwhile, Solacebase stand by the report as it has evidence to support the story as one of the victims recuperating in hospital is presently having difficulties in paying his hospital bills.

Similarly, the reporter called the police spokesman severally with text messages without picking his calls neither did he replied.
