Four persons were allegedly shot by mobile Policemen at Ado Bayero shopping Mall in Kano metropolis on Sunday.
The four victims were said to have been shot by mobile Policemen on guard duty at the shopping mall who threaten to shoot customers in the course of controlling a huge crowd who were on Eid el Fitr celebration at the Mall .
One of the shot victims, Malam Yusuf Adamu aged 28, businessman at Sabon Geri market who a bullet pierce through his right thigh said he passed out after he was hit by the bullet.
“ I was coming from Zoo road heading to Dangi roundabout with some friends when I saw a Policeman trying to whip some people with horse whip while another was threatening to shoot the people if they don’t join the queue in front of Ado Bayero Shopping Mall, “said Adamu.
He explained that his friends immediately rushed him to emergency unit of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital from where he was later transferred to Sir Muhammad Sunusi hospital as there was available bed to put him on admission.
A staff of Ado Bayero Mall who pleaded anonymity as he was not authorized to speak , confirmed the incident noting that the management of the mall are not available, as today is a public holiday. However the Spokesman of Kano Police Command SP Magaji Musa Majia did not pick is calls and neither responded to text messages sent to him on the issue.
