Bauchi State Deputy Governor Nuhu Gidado has resigned.
His resignation was announced late Wednesday.
His decision was stated in a letter to Mohammed Abubakar, governor of the state dated 16th May . A copy of the letter was obtained by Channels Television.
Solacebase gathered that Gidado in the letter said though he wished to complete his tenure, he had lost interest in the job.
In the letter the former deputy governor said his decision was based on his desire to serve only a single term.
Nuhu Gidado said completing the first term will be unfair to the system and his conscience.
Futhermore he reminded the governor of their meeting on 19th April where he had informed Mohammad Abubakar of thinking about stepping aside
He extended appreciation to the people of the state for giving him the opportunity to serve.
