Suspected armed bandits have attacked Maganda village in Brinin Gwari local government area of Kaduna state abducting three housewives.
The attackers according to eyewitnesses went to the house of a well-known businessman Alhaji Adamu Nakonar at 1.50 am on Sunday morning, shooting sporadically.
An eyewitness Ibrahim Musa told Solacebase in a telephone interview on Sunday afternoon that the gunmen came on motorcycles after the attack on the village which was targeted at the businessman house went away with three women from the house after ransacking the building.
Ibrahim Musa said the gunmen later sent a note through one of the abducted women with a phone number for them to call for the release of the other two women. He said the released woman informed them that they were taken to Danyamo forest along Birnin Gwari- Funtua road.
Solacebase contacted the Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer Muktar Aliyu for confirmation but his phone was not picked after several calls.
