The Inspector General of Police , Ibrahim Idris has advocated establishment of Police Trust Fund to enhance welfare of personnel and efficiency so as to improve service delivery.
Ibrahim Idris said a major challenge bedeviling the force is issue of poor funding which is seriously affecting operational activities and the creation of the Police Trust Fund is one of the measure to address the problem.

The IGP while speaking on measures to improve efficiency said a Police fast tracking machine will be inaugurated in Kano tomorrow , Monday to check crimes as telecommunication used in criminal activities would be easily tracked .
Ibrahim Idris said the Police fast tracking machine has already been commissioned in Abuja , Lagos and Owerri in Imo state.
