The funeral prayer of Sheik Isyaku Rabiu, leader of Tijjaniyya Movement in Africa was conducted this afternoon at 2.32pm at Sheik Isyaku Rabiu Jumuat mosque , Goron Dutse in Kano metropolis.
The prayer was led by Sheik Tijjani Aliyu Sisse , the Chief Imam of Khaola Mosque in Senegal .
The prayer was observed with the corpse in an ambulance as the crowd of people could not allow the bringing out the remains.
Among those that attended the funeral prayer were the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Yusuf Tukur Buratai, Kano state governor Dr. Abdullai Umar Ganduje and his Jigawa state counterpart Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
Solacebase reports that the remains of the late business mogul and renowned Islamic Cleric was lowered into the grave at 3.00pm inside the mosque premises.
Solacebase recalled that the late Islamic Cleric died at a hospital in London on Tuesday after a protracted illness.
