R. Kelly has been evicted from two of his houses because of unpaid rents.
DailyMail reports that both houses are situated in the Johns Creek neighbourhood of Duluth in Atlanta, Georgia.
The R&B legend had been served an eviction notice on February 13 after owing $31,000 as rent for both apartments.
Court papers showed that he pays $3,000 for one of the apartments and $11,542 for the second apartment; one is three kilometres away from the first.
One of the apartments is alleged to be used as an abusive sex cult where he reportedly keeps women.
“R. Kelly has been downsizing due to a dip in revenue last year. According to the source, the accusations that he was running an abusive sex cult last year had an effect on his funds,” the report read.
The ‘Down Low’ singer was in July 2017 accused of keeping multiple young women against their will.
The women, between 19-21, were said to be residing in his houses in Atlanta and Chicago. According to a Buzzfeed report, the girls are required to call him ‘daddy’ while he calls them ‘babies’.
He is said to have also abused the girls mentally and physically.
R. Kelly has denied the allegations.
