The group said this was sequel to the security alert raised by the Department for State Services (DSS) that some criminal elements might take the advantage of the festive period and lunch attacks on critical infrastructures and other public places during and after holidays and festive celebration.
This was contained in a statement issued by SEDSAC Chairman , Board of Trustees/Executive Director Comrade Umar Hamisu Kofar Na’isa, on Sunday in Kano.

‘’SEDSAC wishes to identify and commend the efforts of the security agencies especially DSS that earlier made the public alert, the police, the military that are working day and night to actualize and sustain peace in Nigeria.’’
