Kano State Commissioner for  Budget and Planning, Alhaji Nura Dankadai on Wednesday handed over the affairs of his ministry despite Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s rejection of his resignation letter.

Solacebase had reported over the weekend that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje issued an ultimatum to political appointees wishing to contest in the 2023 general elections to resign on or before Monday April, 18th in line with the Electoral Act, 2022 as amended .

However, the commissioner, Nura Dankadai, who has indicated interest to contest for the Tudun-Wada Federal Constituency, is said not to be happy with the directive for him to stay on as the party is more tilted to give the ticket in the constituency to House Majority Leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa to go back to the National Assembly.
